Repair Firefox Crash: Remove Downloads File

Sometimes Mozilla Firefox Crashes because the downloads file is too large. This is a simple fix from the menu if you have Mozilla Firefox 3 crash, but older versions don't give you such an easy option to repair Firefox.

Here's something to try:

Go here

C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR PROFILE NAME\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\NAME


Find the download.rdf the profile folder. Delete it, or else rename it "download.rdfBACKUP." Restart your broken firefox. Does this firefix work?

    Hmm. There is no file called download.rdf in my profile folder.
